Information Technology & Systems Center
Innovation in Information Technology
The UAH Information Technology and Systems Center (ITSC) is revolutionizing discovery at multiple scales and disciples with research in technologies to discover, access, manage, analyze, and visualize data, information, and knowledge more efficiently and effectively. Our researchers and computer scientists perform basic and applied research to develop new techniques and systems that ultimately solve real-world problems, enabling the next generation of applications in science and engineering. As a UAH research center, ITSC researchers transfer innovative technologies and knowledge to our academic, government, and industry partners.
In support of these activities, the center is currently performing research and development in distributed information systems, software engineering, Big Data analytics, machine learning, visualization, gaming & simulations, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and Earth Systems Science.
As a multi-disciplinary research center, ITSC provides undergraduate and graduate students in degree programs across the campus with hands-on opportunities in all phases of research. Our team is proud to partner with UAH students to develop the next generation of scientists, analysts, and researchers.
ITSC is designated a UAH Research Center by the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees.
