The pre-licensure BSN concentration is a 5-semester program for those individuals without a prior degree who wish to become a professional nurse following a traditional undergraduate pathway. UAH students and transfer students are eligible for admission to this upper-division concentration. Graduates earn a BSN and are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam to become registered nurses. We welcome your questions about this pathway to becoming a registered nurse. We believe starting as a freshman at UAH gives you high-quality preparation for nursing. Our advisors are ready to answer your questions and connect you with current students or faculty. UAH students who declare nursing as freshmen and have the required GPA and ACT scores are eligible for the Dean's Scholar Program and the Honors College. UAH students who have completed 30 or more hours at UAH and meet admission requirements will be given priority consideration for admission into the pre-licensure BSN concentration. Come and share your college experience with us. You belong in blue scrubs!
