College of Engineering

UAH’s College of Engineering (COE) offers the resources of a major Public Research and Space Grant University while being located in a high tech community that Forbes has noted as one of the Top 10 Smartest Cities in the World.

The UAH campus is located within Cummings Research Park, the 2nd largest research park in the U.S. and home to major Fortune 500 companies. Redstone Arsenal, located near the campus, houses several U.S. Army research and development centers and the NASA- Marshall Space Flight Center.

The COE has roughly 60 full time, research-active tenure-track, tenure-earning faculty in its ranks. These faculty members have Ph.D.'s in their respective disciplines, earned from leading research universities in the United States. We take great pride in teaching and mentoring our undergraduate and graduate students. Today's engineer is required to have multiple skills including innovative design capability, systems level thinking, and the ability to use reliable data combined with the power of information technology to solve complex problems that cut across disciplinary boundaries. Our curriculum at the undergraduate and graduate levels is aimed at fostering these life-long skills.
