This email is to notify occupants of the Student Services Building of services being performed on the exterior of the buildings March 8 - 12 , 2024. Please share this information with all faculty and staff utilizing the building during this time.
Renew Solutions will be cleaning the exterior of the building and adjacent sidewalks using non-pressurized water consisting of common cleaning agents. This softwash process is to remove years of dirt, grime, algae, and other material that has accumulated over time. The low pressure helps to prevent chipping away at the brick and other exterior materials of the building and hard surfaces. The cleaning agents will also help prevent biological growth on these surfaces for the next 5-7 years.
The contractor will ensure that adjacent plants and vegetation will be properly rinsed with clean water in the event that overspray comes into contact with biological life.
The services will be minimal on Friday, March 8 during business hours, however, the northeast side of the building (nearest SST) may begin by early afternoon. I will caution that there may be a strong smell throughout the duration of this service. If anyone is to occupy the building between March 9-12, we suggest parking away from the building. If overspray were to come into contact with your vehicle, the contractor will rinse the vehicle with water to ensure no damage is done by the cleaning agents used.
