Graduate Class of 2015
The College of Business has partnered with The U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) to provide this for-credit graduate certificate program in supply chain management. The collaboration trains the Army civilian workforce beyond Army specific logistics to the greater supply chain management process using best practices from the industry. The program directly supports AMC strategic priorities. Participants can expect to:
- Identify the end-to-end supply chain process
- Construct innovative and sustaining readiness solutions
This certification program is focused on, but not limited to, Army DoD civilian career programs - supply management, materiel maintenance management, transportation and distribution management, as well as ammunition management.
Requirements
Civilian employees GS-11 to GS-13 from around the AMC enterprise located in the Redstone Arsenal footprint are welcome to apply. Program participants will take classes in the morning and work in the afternoon. At the conclusion of the program, academic credit earned may then be applied to a master of science in supply chain and logistics management for those candidates who choose to continue studies on their own.
The College of Business is ideally suited to provide quality instruction needed by the Army and contractors in the region. With deep research capability in supply chain and logistics management, coupled with the accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) it is the best choice to deliver this customized graduate certificate.
Curriculum
The three-semester program begins in January and ends in December. The program consist of classes in management with a supply chain emphasis (9 credit hours), management science (6 credit hours), and information systems (3 credit hours) – for a total of 18 credit hours.

Application Procedure
Participation in the AMC-UAH supply chain program is very competitive and the application process call for two steps:
1.) Contact College of Business Advising Director, Jennifer Pettitt. You will be asked to submit an application and transcript from all of the schools you have attended. You must also submit proof of immunization.
2.) Pettitt will direct you on submitting an application through AMC on Redstone Arsenal. A limited number of applicants will be hand-picked to participate in the program.
