Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a United States company that provides exams and other educational material designed to prepare student nurses for professional licensure. Their Admission Assessment Exam is used as an entrance criterion by The University of Alabama in Huntsville Nursing College. It is a timed computer-based test. Testing time is limited to 4 hours. The exam can only be taken twice during an academic year. You can find study material on the ATI/TEAS website. Test Dates and Registration The University of Alabama in Huntsville offers the following TEAS exam times: Wednesdays at 12:00pm Fridays at 9:00am Please call 256-824-6373 or email tacs@uah.edu to schedule your exam. The fee for taking the TEAS at UAH is $95. To schedule an appointment and pay the TEAS fee ($95), you must REGISTER ONLINE. Your administration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. A refund may only be issued if UAH closes operations on your test date. TEAS Registration In order to take the TEAS exam, you must create an account. You will need a user ID and password to take the exam. If you do not create an account BEFORE your test date, you will not be able to sit for this exam. To create an TEAS account, follow these instructions: Go to TEAS Registration webpage. Click Create Account in the top right-hand corner and follow instructions provided. If you receive a message stating that you already have an account: Click on Forgot User ID or Password. Enter your email address and follow instructions provided. Be sure to write down your user ID and password. Test Day Information Bring your TEAS account user ID and password. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID which includes your name, signature and a recognizable photograph. A calculator will be available through the exam software. No outside calculators will be allowed in the testing room. Arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled exam time: Provide your vehicle's license plate number to receive a parking permit in Wilson Hall, Room 214.
