Our curriculum itself is experiential and students participate in project-based learning, capstone design courses, cooperative and internship programs with industry partners, and numerous student organizations focused on building the professional skills engineers need. As an engineering student, you might join the Space Hardware Club and compete and win in international competitions. You may complete an internship or co-op at one of more than 280 government agencies and companies in Cummings Research Park and Redstone Arsenal. Research could be your primary focus, and you may work on autonomous vehicles or human factors when conceptualizing a space ecosystem. At UAH you will have the opportunity to engage in experiential learning that enhances your academic development and your life.

An engineering degree is more than the time spent in the classroom. We are proud to offer opportunities for our students to participate in hands-on learning experiences, whether through internships and co-ops, student organizations, or undergraduate research.
