The Honors College at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) will be celebrating its newly constructed facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by UAH President Robert Altenkirch.

The Honors College recently transitioned from a previous space in Morton Hall in hopes of offering better facilities for its students, as well as a more-organized space for guests.

The Spring 2015 semester is the first full semester the Honors College will be housed in Frank Franz Hall, which also serves as the residence hall for the majority of Honors students who live on campus.

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the main entrance of Frank Franz Hall on Wednesday, March 18. Guest speakers will include President Altenkirch, Honors Program graduate Thomas K. Spain Jr., M.D., and current Honors senior Sydney Steele.

After the ceremony, guests will have the opportunity to view the new features of the Honors College's home with student-led tours.
