UAH’s College of Business Administration partners with TEDxHuntsville for “Breaking Boundaries, Building Connections” event

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (September 10, 2013) - The College of Business Administration at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), in partnership with TEDxHuntsville, is pleased to announce "Breaking Boundaries, Building Connections." The event, which features some of the areas brightest thinkers and innovators, will take place at Randolph's Thurber Arts Center on Sunday, September 15, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

"TEDxHuntsville is a community-based platform for spreading ideas across disciplines locally while providing access to a global audience," says Dr. Ravi Patnayakuni, Associate Professor of Information Systems at UAH and member of the TEDxHuntsville organizing committee. "Together, we can bring people together to seek a deeper understanding of ourselves and our world, and to inspire ideas and action for a better future for us all."

The event features ten presenters, each of whom will receive the standard TEDx allotment of 18 minutes to share their "ideas worth spreading." It will also include technology demonstrations, interactive art projects, a participatory music performance, and an after-party at Drake's Restaurant to celebrate the fifth anniversary of TEDxHuntsville's founding.

Registration is required and can be completed online at http://tedxhuntsville.com. Discounted university/college student admission is available with current ID upon check-in.
