Biography

Julie L. Fortune, Ph.D., P.E., CSEP is a Senior Technical Director and a Technical Fellow at Parsons. She also serves on the Parsons Fellows Board of Directors. Dr. Fortune supports the Missile Defense Agency in the area of system engineering including the system design and specification group. She is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and recently obtained her Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification from INCOSE. 

Dr. Fortune has more than 25 years of experience in applying systems engineering to scientific and engineering fields. Her expertise spans the Department of Defense, NASA, and private industry projects. She has served as an adjunct assistant professor at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, teaching undergraduate and graduate engineering courses as well as serving on master's degree and doctoral committees. Dr. Fortune has authored and contributed to numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and books.
