Matching funds are typically funds provided by a department within the university to support a project that is being funded by an outside agency. This may be a grant or contract that a faculty member has been awarded in which the university is required to "match" the award by some percentage. Matching Fund Grants are available year round as long as funds are available.
Request for matching funds are made directly to the Director of the Humanities Center. This should be done before an individual within the university submits a proposal through the Office of Sponsored Programs. Only projects meeting the criteria for a humanities-related program are eligible for this type of funding.
