Hurricane Diane by Madeleine George Directed by Karen Baker UAH Theatre surges into the spring semester with the Alabama premiere of Hurricane Diane, a new comedy by Madeleine George, that looks at how we see ourselves as a part of the natural world in an unexpected way. Diane, of the aforementioned hurricane, is a new incarnation of Dionysus, the ancient Greek god of wine and fertility. Finding herself as a landscape architect in a tony suburban neighborhood in New Jersey just outside of New York City, Diane vows to make new followers and a new world out of these manicured people with their manicured yards. Encountering three women of the neighborhood, Diane gets to work, but will her mission to bring renewed life to the world succeed, or are there dark forces at work against her?
