Senators reported the following activity on campus:
The Campus and Community Relations Committee is working on the Telework Resource Information Portal (TRIP).
The Communications Committee is working with the chair of each Staff Senate committee to distribute the data most relevant to each committee that was collected through the Staff Senate Survey.
The Employee and Benefits Committee discussed the staff senate survey data and is continuing to have discussions on four major topics: Health insurance, Paid Parental Leave, Proposal to allow telework on regular basis and the Employee Tuition Assistance benefit.
The Events Committee is planning the Staff Appreciation Initiative.
The Operations Committee is working on reviewing the interim BETA and PCI policies. Also, the Operations Committee is working on finalizing the voting slate for the upcoming staff senate election.
The Service and Outreach Committee reported having exceeded their event goal this year by hosting 5 events.
The Executive Committee discussed ongoing plans for updating the mission of the Staff Senate. Additionally, there was a debrief of a meeting held with the VPFA.
