  • The Food Bank of North Alabama: hunger relief programs that immediately feed people in need. Also provides weekend meal kits to students who depend upon school meals that may go without when school is closed.
  • Manna House: Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday: 4 pm-7 pm (Closed only for major holidays or severe weather) Primary foods include canned goods, bread, breakfast, and desserts. Physical Location: 2110 S Memorial Pkwy, Huntsville, AL 35801
  • The United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP): provides food benefits, access to a healthy diet, and education on food preparation and nutrition to low-income households. Recipients spend their benefits (provided on an electronic card that is used like an ATM card) to buy eligible food in authorized retail food stores. You can apply for food assistance benefits online via MyDHR.
