Program Details

Immersive Industry Experiences:

Throughout the Professional MBA program, students have unique opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom to the real world, and expand their professional network. For example, the college’s Leadership 1:10 program welcomes executives to campus for intimate conversations with small groups of graduate students, offering a glimpse into their leadership journeys and candid insights into navigating challenges in the business world. The college is also proud to offer numerous study abroad opportunities to those who are interested in expanding their business knowledge at the global level. Lastly, the college’s own Career and Internship Advisor builds and fosters relationships with companies and organizations who are hiring business professionals. The Career and Internship Advisor plays a pivotal role in connecting students with job opportunities and mentorships - a critical element to those interested in advancing their professional career.

Concentrations:

Adding a concentration to your Professional MBA program is a fantastic way to set you apart in today’s job market. By choosing a concentration, students gain extra focus in a specific area of business. When a concentration is added to the degree program students have the opportunity to take a grouping of courses specific to their interests, in addition to completing the core Professional MBA coursework. Time to Complete:

Most students complete the Professional MBA program in 24 months. However, by taking a full course load each semester, students have the opportunity to fast-track their degree and graduate in as little as 12 months. Students also have the flexibility to progress through the program at their own pace, allowing them to take their time to complete their degree. The degree must be earned within 10 years (by the end of the 30th semester).

Delivery Mode:

Classes for the Professional MBA program are delivered 100% online. However, if a student declares a concentration, some of those courses might be held in-person on the UAH campus. For a breakdown of which concentrations are online or in-person, please see the “Concentrations” section above.

Some online courses are synchronous, meaning they are live interactions with the instructor and classmates at a scheduled time. Most courses are asynchronous, with course interactions occur on the student’s own time with no live class sessions.

Credit Hours: 36 (plus Statistics prerequisite if needed)

The Professional MBA program is a 36 credit-hour program, plus a statistics prerequisite if needed. Most students have completed a statistics course during previous studies. 36 hours equates to 12, three-hour courses. If a student chooses to add a concentration to their degree program, additional courses and hours may be required.

GMAT/GRE:

A GMAT or GRE score is required but may be waived with an undergraduate 3.0 GPA and three years of professional work experience OR completion of a graduate degree. View more information on admission requirements.

Program Start Dates:

Students admitted into the Professional MBA program have the ability to start the program at the beginning of the fall, spring, or summer semester.
