Biography

Research: Solar wind data analysis.

Dr. Yu Chen obtained her PhD from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2020. She has spent several years studying small-scale magnetic flux ropes using the Grad-Shafranov (GS)-based algorithm and GS reconstruction techniques. Dr. Chen has extensive experience processing and analyzing in-situ data from multiple spacecraft measurements, including PSP and Solar Orbiter. She is currently responsible for maintaining the website for a database of small-scale flux ropes at www.fluxrope.info. Additionally, she is a co-author of the open-source package PyGS
