Making Reservations
Reservations for events and meetings in Charger Union, the Conference Training Center, or Chan Auditorium must be made three business days in advance. You can reserve your spot in any of the following four ways:
- Online: You can reserve a space online using the button below.
- Phone: You can reserve space by calling Event Services, at 256.824.3625.
- In Person: Visit the Event Services office in the Charger Union Administrative Office Suite 202, during our office hours 8:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments preferred.

Charger Union
Charger Union serves as the heart of the UAH community. It provides a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for student life and engagement. The Charger Union offers a variety of venues from small meeting rooms to a full cinema.
Charger Theater
The Charger Theater is a surround-sound cinema with a 25'x14' screen. Maximum occupancy: 332.
Multipurpose Room
The multipurpose room features a wood floor, full length mirrors, a ballet bar, and an audio-visual system. Maximum occupancy: 50.
Outdoor Lawn
Conference Rooms
Charger Union conference rooms are perfect for meetings. Each comes equipped with flat-screen TVs, speakers, laptop connections for presentations, and a whiteboard. Select from the following:

Conference Training Center
The Conference Training Center consists of an exhibit hall and an outdoor stage, known as The Slab.
Exhibit Hall
This space has three connecting sections totaling 5,800 square feet with 18’ ceilings. Section C contains an adjustable stage (12’x32’ or 16’x24’) with a retractable projection screen and audio visual system.
The Slab
The Slab is an outdoor stage on the north end of campus. It is part of the Conference Training Center’s facilities. It consists of a 30’x40’ uncovered stage and a lawn. Occupancy: 500+
Chan Auditorium
Chan Auditorium is located in the Business Administration Building on the UAH campus, across Holmes Avenue just north of the Shelby Center for Science and Technology. This proscenium style facility hosts a multitude of campus and community events. Maximum occupancy: 401
