Huntsville Shakespeare's Macbeth: A Staged Reading Arts & Entertainment Saturday, June 30, 2018 The event started -2280 days agoMultiday event - 0 days 7:30 PM 9:00 PM Wilson Hall Wilson Theatre Shakespeare's brilliant revenge tragedy, Macbeth, is featured for one night only as a staged reading during Huntsville Shakespeare's 2018 inaugural season! Co-directed by Huntsville Shakes co-founders Dr. Chad Thomas and theatre professor Amy Guerin, a staged reading means that the actors will be seated with their scripts on music stands. Staged readings give the ensemble, who will also be seen in mid-July's Twelfth Night, the chance to focus on the text and also find innovative ways to interpret the play, in this case based on imagery, ideas of gender and power, and relevance to our present day.
