Faculty Recital: Phil Weaver, guitar & mixed media Arts & Entertainment Sunday, October 27, 2019 The event started -1796 days agoMultiday event - 0 days 3:00 PM Roberts Recital Hall Phil Weaver, UAH guitar instructor, will present a solo classical guitar recital, performing on a 1988 Madrid Ramirez Elite concert guitar. The program includes works by Villa-Lobos, Agustin Barrios, Bach, Merlin, plus Piazzolla's Oblivion accompanied by time lapse video created by Weaver. Two more of his music videos will also be screened: Charlie Peck's Kindling with music by What Is Noise (with UAH's Dr. Joshua Burel) and the Roberts Hall Ghost Pianist plays Rachmaninoff! Following the program, the audience is invited to tour the newly-renovated Recording Studio A, located backstage. Studio Manager Matthew Westmeyer will be on hand to show the new gear and answer questions. The recital is free and open to the public.
