On Friday, January 22, 2021, Fellowship Advisor Jennifer Staton will talk about the National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs), which fund a large number of research opportunities for undergraduate students through the REU Sites program. An REU Site consists of a group of ten or so undergraduates who work in the research programs of the host institution. Each student is associated with a specific research project, where he/she works closely with the faculty and other researchers. Jennifer will discuss the basic application and eligibility requirements for NSF REUs, along with advice on how to navigate the NSF REU online database. This is an online event that requires a password to join. This info session is ideal for STEM and Psychology/Social Sciences freshmen and sophomores with little to no previous undergraduate research experience.
