Professor Van Norden is a leading international scholar of Chinese philosophy, the author of Virtue Ethics and Consequentialism in Early Chinese Philosophy (Cambridge University Press, 2007), and translator of Mengzi: With Selections from Traditional Commentaries (Hackett, 2008) His fourth public lecture at UAH, Consequentialist Ethics in China: Introducing Mozi, introduces key contributions from Mengzi, the "Second Sage" of Confucianism.
