OLLI at UAH Course - Mr. Sol's Neighborhood Conference/Lecture Monday, September 11, 2023- October 30, 2023 The event started -382 days agoMultiday event - 49 days 10:30 AM12:00 PM Salmon Library Offered through Osher Lifelong Learning Institute “My very excellent mother just served us nine pizzas.” Remember that mnemonic? Well, in 2006, thanks to Huntsville native son Michael E. Brown, these pizzas are no more. There have been a plethora of discoveries about our solar system’s occupants during the past three decades. This course will revisit the old and new knowledge of the planets and their non-planet cousins. The fancy term is “comparative planetology” and it will be a fun-filled tour of Mr. Sol’s neighborhood. Be there, or be square, because planets are round! MONDAY (8 SESSIONS) | COST: $35 | INSTRUCTOR: BOB CARROLL | IN-PERSON, UAH CAMPUS Register OLLI at UAH membership is required.
