Fall 2024 Move In Day Depending on your residence hall, all residents are able to move into their Fall Assignment on Thursday, August 15th or Friday, August 16th. All residents will be required to select a timeslot in order to check-in. Please check your UAH student email for your specific check-in date and additional information. Sign up for your move in time slot by Sunday, August 11th. Procedures for Move In *BEFORE you arrive* All Vehicles need a Move In Pass. Print, fill out, and place in the Front Driver’s Side Windshield We recommend labeling any boxes with your name, building, and room number Prepare any moving supplies you need (Volunteers & Carts are not guaranteed on move in day) *WHEN you arrive* Follow traffic routes provided Students & Families should arrive on campus in a maximum of TWO (2) Vehicles Vehicles should stop at unloading areas, unload the vehicle then immediately go to a parking area. If your unloading and parking area is the same lot, as a courtesy, once unloaded please move your vehicles further back in the parking lot in order to make it easier for others moving in. The Resident should enter the building with their Charger Card or Picture State Identification to pick up their room key Keys will only be issued to the resident of the room, no exceptions The Resident should return to their items and proceed to the room *After you move in* Please park your vehicle in the appropriate spaces to avoid tickets. Visit this map, and use the menu to select the parking zone that relates to your pass Talk to your Resident Assistant, Resident Director, or the front desk regarding when your first floor meeting will take place and any other events happening on campus Other Information Standard guest and visitation policies will go into effect each day after move-in time slots have ended. Cable on campus is streaming through Xfinity On Campus with use of a smart tv or device GradGuard is able to provide renter's insurance while you live on campus. If you are interested, you can click here to see the many options they provide. During Move-In, there is always a chance for summer thunderstorms. In order to keep our residents, parents, staff, and volunteers safe, if there is lightning spotted in the area, we may have to suspend our move-in process. Please be patient as we wait for the weather to pass through. If it is just raining, we will continue the move-in process as scheduled.
