international night at the library slide

Next the library will have a pair of events and will be joining with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Political Science for two more.

First, join the Salmon Library on Sunday, February 18 [5pm to 7pm] for a special International Night: Year of the Dragon Celebration. There will be Chinese noodle soup, dumplings, crafts, and door prizes.

Thern, on Wednesday (Feb 21, 6pm to 8pm), there will be Mason Jar Terrariums where UAH students can make their own terrarium using supplies provided by the library.

Also on February 21, the library will have a table at the Black History Month Block Party. Find us to make buttons and find out more information about how you can research topics related to Black History (and more) at the Salmon Library.

Finally, on February 22, the Political Science Department will be hosting a World Day of Social Justice event: Coded Bias. The film focuses on the way that inheritent bias can be coded into software and the surprising impacts this can have.

All of these events are free to UAH students.

Do not forget!

For those interested in taking part in the Salmon Library's Open Mic Night: you can sign up to perform at https://bit.ly/uahopenmic. You are also welcome to just attend to see other people's performances. The Open Mic Night will be on March 5 from 6pm to 8pm.
