UAH is a research university with a long history of providing support to the Department of Defense. The Office for Operational Excellence supports multiple DoD organizations including Army Materiel Command (AMC), Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command (AMCOM), Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC).
