The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) Office of Professional and Continuing Education (OPCE) is now accepting registrations for the updated Project Management certificate program.

The program is designed for professionals new to project management, as well as seasoned practitioners who desire to enhance their skills. It offers participants a solid foundation in successful project management following the framework set by the Project Management Institute (PMI). Each course is aligned with the latest edition of the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK®) and focuses on practical application, particularly within the government/contractor sector.

“Project management is a powerful tool that enables organizations to effectively plan, execute, and control projects, leading to successful outcomes and improved efficiency,” says OPCE Director, Fathia Hardy. “It is especially critical within the federal workforce where the success of a project has the potential to impact the entire nation.”

Project managers are in high demand and it’s no secret that professionals who invest in their professional development gain a competitive advantage. Those who enroll in this program will gain a comprehensive understanding of project management, including proven strategies and practical tools to drive successful project outcomes. The concepts and tools learned can be applied to projects of any size or type. In addition, aspiring Project Management Professionals (PMPs) can fulfill the 35 required hours of project management education required to qualify for PMP® certification.

Courses begin on August 7, 2023, and will be held in person on the UAH campus. Group discounts are available for organizations registering 10 or more individuals. To learn more about the Project Management Certificate and to register, visit opce.uah.edu/ProjectManagement.
