MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

dr jason cassibry

Dr. Jason Cassibry obtained a B.S. in aerospace engineering from the University of Missouri in Rolla, his M.S. in aerospace engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) while performing research at NASA MSFC. His research involved numerical modeling of magnetized target fusion for propulsion. From 2003-2004, he served as a research engineer in the Propulsion Research Center (PRC) at UAH and after receiving his Ph.D. became an assistant research professor.

Special Guest Lecturer:
Dr. Phil Ligrani, Eminent Scholar in Propulsion and Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UAH, will present the topics of skin friction, heat transfer and turbulence. Dr. Ligrani earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. His research includes heat transfer, fluid mechanics, gas turbine heat transfer, and compressible flows at transonic and supersonic mach numbers.
