Throughout his career, he has taught a broad range of mathematical subjects, spanning algebra to calculus at all levels to statistics. He is passionate about mentoring and has coached several scholastic teams, focusing on mathematics. An active member of the American Statistical Association and an experienced researcher, Dr. Said specializes in the theory of Hardy and Bergman spaces. He lives with his wife on their family farm in Gadsden, where they raise beef cattle. In addition to his academic endeavors, Said is a chef who enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes. He has two children, Yasmeen and Sammy. Said holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from The University of Texas, a master’s in applied mathematics from Jacksonville State University and both a master’s and a Ph.D. in pure mathematics from The University of Alabama.
