Countdown to Cap and Gown - Spring 2025 Ceremony

Candidates,

Congratulations! All your hard work over the past few years is about to pay off with your graduation from college. And there's nothing like walking across that stage to get your diploma!

But first, UAH would like to help you celebrate your major milestone by inviting you to this semester's Countdown to Cap and Gown, which will be held in the Charger Union - University Bookstore.

FAQ

When is Commencement?
Commencement for Fall 2025 will be held on TBD.

Commencement for Spring 2025 will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025.

How do I RSVP for Commencement?
You will receive an email about reserving your seat, in October for Fall and March for Spring. You will also have the chance to add a graduation quote that will appear on the screen as you walk across the stage.

How do I purchase my cap and gown?
In Store: You can purchase your cap and gown in person at the UAH Bookstore, open Monday through Friday. 8:30am-5:00pm. Bachelor and Master students can continue to purchase in-person until week prior to Commencement. Call 256.824.6604 for more information

Online: You can also purchase online at Oak Hall, beginnin January 31, 2025. The last day to purchase regalia online for Bachelor and Master students is March 26, 2025. Doctoral Students have two deadlines: Regalia Rental (March 16, 202); Regalia Purchase (February 21, 2025). 

How do I purchase announcements or a class ring?
You can purchase announcements online through Balfour. A Balfour representative will also be available at the Countdown to Cap & Gown events.

When will I receive my diploma?
Fall candidates will receive their diplomas in the mail in late January. Information for Fall candidates about verifying your mailing address will be sent to your UAH email account in mid early January.

Spring candidates will receive their diplomas in the mail in late June. Information for Spring candidates about verifying your mailing address will be sent to your UAH email account in mid early June.

What if I want another degree?
If you would like to obtain a second bachelors degree or apply to graduate school, visit the Admissions website.

Who do I contact for help with my resume or finding a job?
Career Services offers a variety of support services to students and alumni, including resume building and review, interview preparation, networking assistance, and comprehensive education and career planning. They also serve as a repository for employment, internship, and co-op opportunities, connecting job seekers with federal, private-sector, and non-profit organizations.
