What is the current critical status of The Voyage Out?
The MLA Bibliography lists 69 articles written about The Voyage Out since 1963. Of these, 51 have been written since 1981, suggesting that there is a recent interest in this novel. The recent articles focus on various aspects of feminism, while the earlier articles focus more on the textual revisions and language of the novel. Louise DeSalvo's work on Melymbrosia has increased the status of this novel in Woolf's canon.
