Written by: Nicole McDavid, CAHS Career & Internship Coordinator

Paris Morris, a recent graduate in Communication Arts, interned in Spring 2024 at Huntsville Magazine, an award-winning publication in the Huntsville area. In her own words, Paris Morris graciously shared her internship experience, emphasizing how her education in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences contributed to her success.

About the internship:

This internship has catapulted me into the professional world. As I started last summer, Takara [Editor in Chief of Huntsville Magazine] has allowed me to receive first-hand experience within Huntsville Magazine, preparing me for future career opportunities in the field.

How my CAHS education helped:

CAHS has also provided me with valuable experience that will not only aid me in the professional setting, but in everyday life. I feel as if most people forget how valuable communication is and how useful the skill is, regardless of the task. CAHS has provided me with great connections and friends overall.

About Communication Arts:

UAH's Communication Arts program provides students with practical, critical, historical, and theoretical perspectives on human communication, preparing them for work, for social life, and for further academic studies. The program is designed for students who can write, speak, think, analyze, and imagine, and our classes enhance all of those skills.
