Happy Anniversary, UAH! 2024 is an exciting year for UAH as we are celebrating our 55th anniversary. Since June 16, 1969, UAH has played a dominant role in Huntsville and the state of Alabama. From our historic beginning during the U.S. Space Race to today’s mission to protect the security of our nation, UAH is a comprehensive research institution that prepares our students for their careers ranging in healthcare, engineering, business, education and more. Countless dedicated people have instilled knowledge in the more than 50,000 alumni who call themselves Chargers. Throughout this year, UAH will highlight historic milestones and achievements as well as celebrate the many people who have contributed to its success as it plans for further growth. We know that the story of UAH is the story of many. We can’t wait to share it with you.
