UAH released its Fall 2018 enrollment and other statistics for this academic year. UAH has record total enrollment for a fourth straight year. After Census day, UAH enrolled 9,736 students, an increase of 7 percent when compared to Fall 2017 enrollment of 9,101. We enrolled the largest first-time full-time freshman class in UAH’s history. The number increased to 1,428 students, up 6.2 percent when compared to the same numbers last year. Our freshmen also scored a record average of 28.5 on their ACT, up from 27.9 a year ago.

The UAH press release also stated other distinguishing characteristics of this year’s freshman class:

 

  • "The overall GPA for this incoming class is 3.88.
  • 45 percent scored 30 or higher on the ACT.
  • 45 percent had a high school grade point average of 4.0 or higher.
  • Retention remains at historically high levels at 83.1 percent for 2018.”
