Parking hangtags for Fall 2019 – Summer 2020 are available for purchase online at my.uah.edu under Campus Services.  Cost for an annual hangtag is $140.00.  The website provides guidelines to complete the process.  Questions may be directed to Parking Management at 256-824-6594 M-F, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

You will be allowed one hangtag that may be transferred from one vehicle to another for those who change vehicles from time to time.  If you forget your hangtag, stop by Parking Management and pick up a free temporary hangtag. In the event the Parking Management Office is closed, a police dispatcher is always on duty and can issue a permit.  If you have purchased a new vehicle or buy one during the upcoming academic year, be sure you have the license plate number, year, make, model and color before beginning the online registration process.  If you are going to register the same vehicle(s) as last year, the information will automatically appear on the form.

If you have a child or spouse who is a student, he/she is not authorized to use a faculty/staff hangtag. Be sure they register for their appropriate hangtag.  Questions about this may be directed to Parking Management.

Disabled employees with a state DMV issued placard or license plate, must physically present it or bring the license plate number only to Parking Management where it will be validated.  A UAH Accessibility Hangtag will be issued in lieu of a regular faculty/staff hangtag.  This process was implemented to prevent illegal use of another person’s disabled credentials.  Illegal use of a handicapped credential or parking space is a serious violation.  The fine is $300 and the violator’s vehicle may be towed and impounded at the owner’s expense.

By completing the registration and hangtag purchase process, you are agreeing that you have read the parking regulations.  I encourage you to do so.

Sincerely,
