Human Resources is making plans for annual Open Enrollment which will occur from October 12th through October 31st. Open Enrollment allows you an opportunity to review your current benefits and make decisions regarding your benefit and insurance needs for the following calendar year. 

You will have many opportunities to learn more about plan changes and benefit enhancements. We encourage you to review the available resources and information to make any necessary changes to your benefits during the Open Enrollment period. Mark your calendars now to attend an Open Enrollment session!

Open Enrollment Requirements

The University of Alabama in Huntsville will continue to offer a simplified annual benefit process this year.

ACTION IS REQUIRED if you want to participate in a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA), Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA), or make your own contributions to a Healthcare Savings Account (HSA) for the 2024 plan year. Your current election will not rollover. For these tax-favored accounts, you must elect a NEW annual contribution amount for the 2024 Plan Year to continue payroll deductions.

NO ACTION IS REQUIRED if you do not want to make any changes to health, dental, vision, life, or disability coverage. You will keep your current benefits and these coverages will rollover as-is effective Jan. 1, 2024 without taking any action.
