Written by: Laura Provenzani November 8, 2022 Dr. Rao Mentreddy, Alabama A&M CPU2AL/FTPP lead, was awarded for serving as a reviewer for the Sheikh Zayed TCAM Center and for being a judge on the scientific committee for screening nominees for the research award. The Sheikh Zayed International Center for Traditional, Complementary, and Alternative Medicine (Sheikh Zayed TCAM) held its second international award ceremony during the month of October 2022. The purpose of these awards is to give recognition to the eminent TCAM Academics, Scientists globally, and UAE TCAM Physicians for their distinguished contributions to improving the quality of life for humanity. Over 200 people attended the prestigious award ceremony, including members of the royal family, ministers, Board of Trustees of Sheikh Zayed TCAM, ambassadors of several countries, and scientists and TCAM practitioners from around the world. The award for which Mentreddy decided deserving recipients is designed to both foster and recognize excellence among academics, physicians and scientists for their unique roles in improving the quality of life through one of the key aspects, or modalities, of medicine.
