Biography

Kelsey Herndon is a Research Scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she supports the joint NASA-USAID SERVIR program in using remote sensing and geospatial technology to address environmental challenges around the world. She also applies her expertise in remote sensing to cultural heritage, archaeology, and conservation projects in Central America. Kelsey has a background in Anthropology (BA, Auburn University; MA, University of Alabama) and Earth System Science (MS, University of Alabama in Huntsville). In her free time, she works to increase awareness of Alabama's exceptional natural resources and biodiversity.
