To improve security & performance, Pearson has updated the tool that connects their materials to Canvas. This change, which will go into effect between the summer and fall terms, will impact all courses that use Pearson MyLab, Mastering or Revel courseware. Because of this update, the way you link your Pearson courseware to Canvas will change.

Summer 2024 Courses

If you are currently teaching a summer course using MyLab or Mastering, please continue to access courses through the MyLab and Mastering tab or Revel tool in Canvas.

Fall 2024 Courses and Beyond
To Set Up Access Pearson in Your Course

Enable the updated tool, Access Pearson, in your fall course(s) in Canvas. Access Pearson can be found via Settings>Navigation tab in your Canvas course. For more detailed instructions, follow the Set Up Instructions for Access Pearson

Do not build your fall courses from the MyLab and Mastering link.

If You Have already Copied Your Course content From A Previous Semester

If you have already imported content into you fall course(s), make sure to delete any old MyLab and Mastering assignments AND disable the MyLab and Mastering menu link. To do this:

  1. Navigate to Assignments.
  2. Delete any old MyLab and Mastering Assignments.
  3. Navigate to Settings.
  4. Click on the Navigation tab.
  5. Drag MyLab and Mastering to the bottom of the screen (while you're here, you can enable Access Pearson).
  6. Click Save.
