Lowe House: A History in the Present Arts & Entertainment Tuesday, April 10, 2018- April 12, 2018 The event started -2361 days agoMultiday event - 3 days Salmon Library Gallery This exhibit is the result of a creative research assignment by the students in Documentary I, a photography class in the Department of Art, Art History & Design. The project required students to study the history of the subject, Lowe House, and photograph for future research. Students were also introduced to the archives in the UAH Salmon Library where they could find written documents associated with their subject. The research presented many different areas of interests, including the original service building from the early 1820's. The main house, built in 1902 in the Chateauesque style, has many architectural elements that help us tell the story of how these structures were designed and built. Please join us for the closing reception, Thursday, April 12th, from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm in the Salmon Library Gallery.
