Josh writes, "While we may play some of the Tin Pan Alley “standards” of the jazz canon, our main focus will be on playing the music of the great jazz musician/composers, such as Wayne Shorter, Benny Golson, Horace Silver, Duke Pearson, Grant Green, and Thelonious Monk, as well as original music by the band members." Saturday, July 3 at 7:30pm Premiering on UAH Department of Music YouTube page This week's online jazz presentation by Josh Couts and Friends features our Southeast region's own La'roy Bodiford (saxophone), along with Roger Rudolph (drums), UAH faculty members Jim Cavender (bass) and Keith Taylor (piano), and, of course, Josh Couts on guitar.
