Carlos Museum, Emory University The tomb chapel of Menna (Theban Tomb 69) is considered one of the most beautiful painted tombs from ancient Egypt. Directed by Dr. Melinda Hartwig, an international group of conservators, Egyptologists, scientists, and digital specialists brought the tomb chapel back to its former glory, using cutting-edge non-invasive methods that set the standard for tomb conservation projects. This talk will focus on Menna, the time in which he lived, and ancient artists and their methods. Talk is from 7:30pm - 9pm in the Wilson Hall Theatre. Free and open to the public.
