On June 18, 1954, Albert Patterson, a candidate for Alabama Attorney General, was shot and killed on the streets of Phenix City. His statewide campaign had included a promise to clean up the city – given the dubious distinction as being labeled the “wickedest city in America.” Tom Borcher spent several days in Phenix City investigating this fascinating story and he’ll share his findings along with excerpts from the movie “The Phenix City Story” and photos of Phenix City – then and now.

Presented by Tom Borcher, a retired trial attorney and White House historian.
