The presentations delve into the origins and development of American folk and roots music, including the incorporation of African American folk music and the commercial separation from Anglo-American folk music. An overview is provided on the structure and composition of traditional folk, roots, and blues music, as well as the (mostly) stringed instruments used to play them. Enjoy a wide variety of music, including old favorites and lesser-known contemporary tunes that are equally enjoyable.
