In this workshop, you'll learn how to break down broken or unwanted plastic junk and make it into works of art. We'll be focusing on building characters, like robots, monsters and mutants. We will be working with sharp tools and super glue. You should wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty or dripped with permanent glue.

We'll cover:

  • How to break down old appliances or toys for useful parts
  • Different ways to combine pieces of scrap into new shapes and forms
  • Adding details that bring your figures to life
  • Bringing it all together with a cool paint job

We will provide:

  • Some scrap from broken electronics and old toys
  • Tools for breaking scrap down into useful parts
  • Tools for holding it together in fun new shapes

You should bring:

  • Some drawing paper and your favorite pencils
  • Any broken toys or electronics you want to break down for scrap
  • Clothes you don't mind getting dirty or dripping permanent glue onto latex gloves if you like
