Hike the Old Railroad Bed Trail (aka the Buttonhole section) and follow the path of one of the country’s oldest, and shortest-lived, rail corridors - the Monte Sano Railway. As you hike the narrow dirt and stone bed, you will pass waterfalls and the original stone bridge supports. Trail length is about 1.7 miles; a steeper shortcut is available on the return portion of the trail.
