Explore the man who was a Northerner and a Southerner, a Westerner, and a New England Yankee. An essayist, a newspaperman, a humorist, and a lecture circuit performer, Mark Twain is a uniquely American creation. Learn about his influences, contemporaries, and long life. Take a detour to discover Josh Billings, Dan DeQuille, Artemus Ward, and others. Suggested readings will be made available through Google Classroom.
