Join the FTPP Graduate Student Working Group!
All graduate Alabama STEM students, with a special focus on physics, are welcome to join this group.
The Graduate Student Working Group will be co-chaired by grad students Katherine Davidson (UAH) and Jared Powell (AU). Our idea is to meet via Zoom once a month, with topics of discussion to be determined by the group. The meetings will generally involve presentations of student research, engaging in featured guest speaker presentations, and generally building and developing an AL-wide graduate student base that has an interest in physics. The upcoming virtual meeting will be on October 27, 2023, at 2:30 PM CT.
This time, we will be focusing on an important topic: how to prepare and excel in your next poster competition. Our guest speaker for this event is Dr. Laxman Adhikari, who brings a wealth of experience as a poster competition judge at prestigious events, including the American Geophysical Union (AGU), The Science and Technology Open House (STOH), and the NSF EPSCoR CPU2AL/ FTPP.
