Join us as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of UAH Pride with a captivating event: Living Out Loud! Taking place on October 11th in the Black Box Theatre, this program is a cherished #UAHPRIDE tradition that shines a spotlight on the shared experiences of coming out within the LGBTQ+/GSM community.

In honor of National Coming Out Day, established in 1988 by gay rights activists Robert Eichsberg and Jean O’Leary, Living Out Loud brings together the voices of our LGBTQ+/GSM peers and prominent figures from the UAH and greater Huntsville LGBTQ+/GSM community. They will courageously share their stories—the good, the bad, and the ugly—in an effort to inspire and empower those who may not yet feel ready to do the same.

By opening the mystery box of artistic expression, this year's Living Out Loud event invites students to perform and tell their stories in their chosen form of artistic expression. We believe that through this creative exploration, attendees will find comfort, inspiration, and a deeper understanding of the diverse experiences within the LGBTQ+/GSM community.

Living Out Loud is not only a celebration for our LGBTQ+/GSM community; it also presents an opportunity to educate and raise awareness among our non-LGBTQ+/GSM campus community about the challenges and triumphs that shape the lives of LGBTQ+/GSM individuals.
