OLLI at UAH Course - Introduction to Russian Conference/Lecture Wednesday, January 31, 2024- March 27, 2024 The event started -240 days agoMultiday event - 56 days 1:15 PM 2:45 PM Wilson Hall Offered through Osher Lifelong Learning Institute This introductory Russian course will focus on developing a basic reading and speaking capability centered around those activities commonly encountered while traveling: greetings, asking directions, transportation, lodging, restaurants, touring, and shopping. Students will learn the Russian alphabet, learn to use translation aids to assist in interactions with Russians, and gain a very basic understanding of Russian grammar. The course will place a strong emphasis on speaking and will address unique aspects of Russian culture.
