Biography

Karen Williams is the CEO of Cyber Brews LLC and a part-time instructor at the University of Alabama (UAH) College of Business. Mrs. Williams has held a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification since 2012 and has been a CISSP instructor since 2016. She has over 20 years of experience with 17 years providing cybersecurity engineering and management expertise to the Department of Defense (DoD) as a contractor. She has served on several Board of Directors and committees for cyber professional development such as ISACA, ISSA, and Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) North Alabama Affiliate. Mrs. Williams has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from the UAH, a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management of information Systems (MIS) from UAH and completed an Information Assurance certificate program at UAH. She has been named “6 Women to Watch in Huntsville’s Tech Scene” by the Bama Buzz and “Top 22 in ‘22 Women in Tech in Alabama” by Business Alabama Magazine.
